Essentialis has screened more than 95% of the patients needed to achieve the target number of patients in its ongoing clinical trial in dyslipidemic patients. Following the 6 week run-in/wash-out period prior to randomization, more than 50% of the patients in the ongoing clinical trial have been randomized.

Essentialis randomized the first patient in its ongoing Phase II clinical trial in dyslipidemic patients with elevated triglycerides.

Essentialis completed its last phase I trial involving its lead drug. The study randomized 12 dyslipidemic subjects. The study results reconfirmed the impact of diazoxide choline controlled release tablets on triglycerides and overall lipid profile.
